Fedi was originally conceptualized for unbanked and underprivileged communities in challenging parts of the world who lack access to online security.

Quickly, it became clear that Fedi is really for any person, community, or organization for whom bitcoin was previously out of reach, whether due to custody challenges, access difficulties, or other issues.

Accordingly, Fedi is for everyone across both the Global South and the developed world alike, from families to businesses to nonprofits and event-based groups.
