How big can a federation be?

While there is no limit to how large a federation can be, trust and interconnectedness tend to decrease as the size of a community increases. Larger mints will therefore will typically have additional guardians to mitigate risk.

As a general rule, users should hold resources in a federation in direct proportion to their level of trust in the community and its guardians.
