Is Fedi open-source?

Fedi is built on powerful open-source technologies like Bitcoin, Fedimint, Nostr, and Matrix, and the Fedi app itself is now source-available under a Business Source License.

In an effort to be more closely aligned with our ethos of transparency, our belief in FOSS, and our mission to empower communities everywhere, we have committed to open-sourcing the Fedi app no later than January 3, 2026 - making Fedi itself a freedom technology.
