How do I create a federation using my own hardware?

If you want to run a federation entirely on your own hardware, the Fedimint developers recommend using Docker for most people and circumstances.

Fedimint has a downloader script that will walk you through the entire process of downloading Docker; selecting and configuring the services; and starting the fedimint guardians.

For someone more technical, Fedimint has a NixOS module and works beautifully when deployed through the standard NixOS steps.
