How does a Multispend group get approved?

Once the creation of a Multispend group is initiated, a message is sent in the chat informing members that the initiator wants to upgrade the chat to a Multispend Group, along with the following information:

• Federation: The name of the federation that will be used by the proposed Multispend group.
• Total Voters: The number of chat group members who are also Voters & the approval threshold.
• Status: If the group is ⏳ Waiting for approval, ✅ Active, or ❌ Failed. Also shown on top banner.

The message will also contain a button. The group initiator and non-voters will see Check Details while the voters will see Review. When tapped (by anyone with any role), the list of Voters and their current voting status (⏳ Pending, ✅ Approved, or ❌ Rejected) will be shown.

Here, voters will have the ability to Accept or Reject (at the top right) the creation of the Multispend group. Initiators will just see the option to Abort group creation (at the top right), while non-voting members will simply see the list of voters and no further options.

Failed Group Creation

Remember that all voters must approve the creation of the Multispend group for the group to become live. 

If even one voter rejects the creation of the group, the group status will change to Failed. You can always see who voted to reject a failed group by tapping the Multispend banner in the main conversation feed.

If the group creation fails, the initiator will have to tap this Multispend banner and select Abort at the top right of the voters list before Multispend group creation can be re-attempted.

Note that subsequent Multispend group creation attempts will make it so that the list of voting members and how they voted for a prior failed group creation attempt will no longer be visible.

Successful Group Creation

Once all voters have accepted the creation of the Multispend group, the list of voters will disappear and the Multispend group will be active.

The Multispend banner at the top of the main conversation feed will show Active, and tapping this banner (or the Check details / Review button in the message) will now take you into the live Multispend group.
