How can I add, remove, and hide mods?

To add a mod to your Fedi app, navigate to the Mods tab and tap the + sign at the top right of the screen. From here, scan, paste, or enter the URL of the site you would like to add as a mod (the title & icon fields should populate automatically). Tap Save.

You can hide any mod on the Mods tab by long-pressing it until the Hide option appears. You can also manage mods by navigating to Account > General > Fedi Mods. Here, you can hide or unhide any mod, delete mods you've added, and add new mods.

Note that while you can add any mod you'd like for yourself, only federation guardians or community admins can add mods to the Home tab of their respective federation or community, which are viewable and accessible by all members.

That said, you can still hide federation/community-suggested mods in the same way you can hide Fedi-suggested mods on the Home tab by long-pressing on the relevant mod until the Hide option appears.

You can then unhide federation/community-suggested mods from the Account screen. Just tap the name of the relevant federation or community > Federation Mods or Community Mods (as applicable) > tap the eye icon next to the relevant mod to hide and unhide it.

You can see a list of popular mods in the Fedi Mods Catalog, which can itself be found in the Mods tab. Visit fedi.xyz/fedimods to learn more. Here you can also suggest a new mod idea or submit an existing project to be added as a Fedi-suggested mod for all Fedians.
