How do I start and run a chat poll?

To create a chat poll, tap the poll icon at the bottom left of the text box in any Fedi chat group. On the next screen, type in the Question (or Title) of the poll and anywhere from 2-6 possible responses. Remove any unused options by tapping the trash can icon (🗑️) to the right of the option as none can be left blank.

Toggle on Multi-Select if you want to allow group members to choose more than one answer. Toggle on Show live results if you want the results of the poll to be visible to all group members in real time. Once you've completed all the fields, tap Create poll to initialize the poll and send it in the group.

Group members respond to the poll by choosing one (or more if multi-select is enabled) of the pre-defined options and tapping Vote. Note that you can also vote on your own poll if you'd like. 

To conclude the poll, simply tap END at the top right of the message containing the poll and select Yes, end poll on the following pop-up to confirm your decision. The poll will show as Finished. 

Note that chat polls are only available in standard private and public groups; they are not available in broadcast-only groups or in direct chat conversations.
