How do I change the role of a group member?

To change the role of a member in a chat group where you are an Admin or a Moderator, navigate to the group's chat settings and tap N Members to bring up the member list.

From here, tap the name of the Fedian whose role you'd like to update and choose their new role – Member, Moderator, or Admin – from the Change role section in the list of options shown.

Note that while Admins and Moderators can each promote someone to their own level or below, it is not possible to demote someone who is at the same level or higher. This plays out in practice as follows:

• Admins can promote Members to Moderators or Admins, while Moderators can only promote Members to fellow Moderators.
• Admins can demote Moderators to Members, but Moderators cannot demote Admins or other Moderators and Admins cannot demote fellow Admins.
