Can I use Fedi on multiple devices?

Due to the nature of eCash, a single Fedi profile cannot currently be accessed across multiple devices or by multiple individuals simultaneously.

That said, you can recover your profile on a different device if you lose access to the original device by selecting the Restore access option upon first downloading the mobile app or opening the web app and choosing a recovery method.

This option moves your existing Fedi profile to the current device and locks it on the original device. After completing the steps for the chosen recovery method, simply tap Transfer existing wallet > Continue and select the original device on the next screen.

Don't worry if you do not recognize the device ID as it derived under the hood – but regardless, there should only be one device shown. Though we realize it is a bit unintuitive, this process also applies to uninstalling and reinstalling the Fedi app on the same device.
