To send funds offline, navigate to the Wallet tab. From here, tap ↑ Send on your bitcoin balance to bring up the Send bitcoin screen and select Ecash/Offline.
On the next screen, type in the amount you'd like to send denominated in sats or fiat, confirm the wallet service you'd like to pay from, add a note to the transaction if desired, and tap Next when you're ready.
Review the details and fees on the following screen, and tap Send to proceed. You will then see a pop-up letting you know that once the QR code is shown on the subsequent screen, the funds will be proactively removed from your wallet. If you agree with this, tap Continue to proceed.
On this last screen, you will see a dynamic QR code representing the eCash that was withdrawn from your wallet, which the recipient can claim by scanning the payment code using their Fedi omni-scanner. Alternatively, you can tap Copy or Share to send them the eCash token.
Note that if you change your mind at this point, you can still tap X Cancel Send to prevent the eCash from being claimed and have it refunded to your federation wallet balance.
Once you have shared the code with the recipient, tap and hold I have sent payment to move to the confirmation screen, at which point the payment code will disappear.
If you accidentally confirm the payment without having copied or shared the code, don't worry. The funds will have already been deducted from your balance, but the payment can still be cancelled. To do it, go to the Wallet Tab, tap on the Transaction History icon, and select the specific eCash event. There you will see the Cancel Send button. Press it to get the funds refunded.
