How do I move funds between federations?

Moving funds from one federation to another simply involves paying yourself from one federation wallet to another in the same way you would pay anyone else. The simplest way to do this is via Lightning since you cannot send a chat payment to yourself.

Via LNURL

1. From the Wallet tab, choose the federation where you'd like to receive, tap ↓ Receive on your bitcoin balance, and toggle to LNURL. You will see a LNURL QR code.
2. Tap Copy, then tap back at the top left.
3. Tap the Scan/Paste button, Paste the LNURL, and tap Continue.
4. On the next screen, select the federation wallet you'd like to pay from using the drop-down menu at the top, then add the amount and a note if you want.
5. Once you've reviewed the details of the transaction, tap Send.

Note that if the payment fails due to insufficient funds, the resulting error shows the true maximum number of sats you can send net of fees. Repeat the process using this number to ensure the payment is successful and zero out your balance in the wallet you're moving funds from.

Via Lightning Invoice

If the federation where you'd like to receive does not support LNURL, you can still receive the funds via a Lightning invoice.

1. To transfer your entire balance, first navigate to the federation you'd like to send from, tap ↑ Send on your bitcoin balance, select Ecash/Offline, and enter your exact current balance in sats. The actual maximum amount you can send when accounting for fees will be shown in red. This is the amount to enter in the next step.
2. Select the federation wallet you'd like to receive to, tap ↓ Receive, toggle to Lightning, and enter the amount you'd like to receive in sats or fiat.
3. Add a note to the transaction if you'd like, then tap Request X SATS. You will see a Lightning invoice QR code.
4. Tap Copy, then tap back at the top left.
5. Tap the Scan/Paste button, Paste the Lightning invoice, and tap Continue.
6. On the next screen, select the federation you'd like to pay from using the drop-down menu at the top. As you are using a Lightning invoice instead of a LNURL, the sats/fiat amount will be auto-populated.
7. Once you've reviewed the details of the transaction, tap Send.
