Are there any fees charged on transactions?

Fedi charges 0.21% on eCash sends and 0.5% to send on-chain. On-chain sends also incur a variable network fee. Lightning sends carry a ~0.5% network fee but are not subject to additional Fedi fees.

Federations themselves may also elect to charge a fee on sends, but the exact % is up to the individual federation. Whatever fee the federation sets applies across eCash, Lightning, & on-chain sends.

There are never any fees to receive eCash or Lightning payments, but receiving funds on-chain carries a 1,000 sat peg-in fee that is meant to help prevent against dust attacks.

There is a 0.21% fee to deposit into Stable Balance along with federation & stability provider fees, but withdrawals are free (see Stable Balance fees for more detail). All Multispend transactions are free.

Lastly, mini apps may charge their own fees for different actions performed within them. You will always be able to review the total fee amount and breakdown before making any transaction on Fedi.
