You can update your federation's meta by proposing a change to the meta fields in the guardian dashboard.
To access the dashboard, navigate to the Fedimint UI, enter the WebSocket (WSS) link provided to you when you set up your guardian server and created your federation, and click Connect.
On the next screen, enter your password and click Submit to access the dashboard.
Once there, select Manage Meta from the menu on the left-hand side to bring up your federation's metadata. Here you can update the existing meta fields or select Add Field to incorporate new ones.
See the Meta Fields Documentation for more detail on fields defined as part of the core Fedimint protocol, steps to define new fields, and fields that have been defined by specific third party apps like Fedi.
Once you have finished updating the existing meta, click Propose New Metadata at the bottom of the page to submit your changes for review and approval by the other guardians.
Once submitted, your proposal must be approved by a consensus threshold number of guardians (varies by federation) to be adopted. Note that this process happens automatically for OG-supported federations.
You can check the status of your proposal and even revoke it if not yet approved by clicking Meta Proposals in the left-hand menu. Here you can also review and approve or reject proposals submitted by others.
Once your proposal has been fully approved, navigate to your federation's section of the Fedi app to see the changes live. If the updates don't appear right away, wait a few moments and then refresh the app.
