How do I receive a Stable Balance payment?

You can receive Stable Balance payments from other Fedians either to your Reusable Payment code or in a direct chat (DM) conversation.

Receiving to your Reusable Payment Code

To receive Stable Balance funds from another Fedian, navigate to the Wallet tab, select the relevant Wallet Service you'd like to receive in & toggle from Bitcoin to USD (or other display currency). Next, tap ↓ Receive to bring up the Receive USD screen.

On that screen, select Reusable QR in the horizontal bar to display your Reusable Payment Code.

As the name suggests, the code does not expire after a single use, so you can share the same code every time you want to be paid in Stable Balance. Next, have the Fedian who is paying you scan the QR code shown or tap Share or Copy to send them the payment code directly.

Receiving in a Chat Conversation

Anyone you are already connected with in chat can send you Stable Balance straight from your conversation, without needing your reusable payment code at all. The transfer will appear as a green bubble in the chat feed alongside your messages.

Also, while it is not possible to request Stable Balance funds directly in a DM, the other Fedian will be able to send you funds via chat, so you can simply request via a standard message and they will need to follow the How do I make a Stable Balance payment? steps.

Keep in mind that Stable Balance transfers are similar to eCash transfers in the way that they are Wallet Service-specific, so if the Stable Balance payment you receive is from a Wallet Service you do not belong to, you will need to first join the federation in order to claim the funds.
