Who runs my Manifold federation day to day?

The Guardian Hosts do all the heavy lifting. They hold the keys and keep the guardian servers online, so once your federation is formed there is nothing for you to install, operate or monitor.

As the Federation Ambassador, what really stays with you is the federation management itself – its name, description, and icon, the service fee it charges, and the invite code you share with new members – not its infrastructure management. You can change those at any time from the Manage Federation screen in the Fedi app.

Your share of the service fee will appear on the Manage Federation screen as your members make transactions, and you can easily withdraw it from there.

Keep in mind that being the Federation Ambassador does not make you one of your federation's guardians. You hold no keys and run no guardian servers, which is what keeps a Manifold federation from depending on any single person – including you.
