Where can I find public federations to join?

You can see public federations available to join in the app by navigating to the Wallets tab (icon furthest to the right in the bottom navigation bar) and tapping the + Sign at the top of the screen.

Public federations are shown in the Discover section of this screen. Simply tap Join next to the relevant federation to receive a wallet and start using it. You can also toggle over  to the Join section in order to scan or paste an invitation code for any open federation directly.

Bitcoin Mints is another resource that lists publicly known Fedimint federations along with Cashu mints. You can filter by mint type and select Fedimint to see the federations that are publicly known and available to be joined by the invitation code displayed in the "URL" column.

In both cases, Fedi does not specifically endorse any of the federations listed either in the Fedi app or on Bitcoin Mints. You join federations at your own risk, so we recommend that you trust the guardians of the federations you choose to join. Of course, how you determine trust is up to you.
